Aged 66 years
During the war he did gallant service for the Union cause as a private in the Fourth New York Light Artillery. He came to Franklin in 1866 and was successfully engaged in the marble and tombstone business.
City directories of the 1880s indicate he had his business, C. Frank & Co., on Liberty Street near 13th and his home was located on Liberty below 8th Street.
Casper Frank was appointed to the Franklin Parks Commission in 1882.
