ARCHES The arch is the Roman symbol of the heavens. Monuments with this shape may indicate a journey into heaven through this passageway.
Location: Grove Hill Cemetery, Oil City This top section of this arch has been broken and laid by the foot of the monument. Inscription: ROBERT H. MANN Died _____ HANNAH _ . MANN Died May 14, 18__ Second section ETA _ Dau of Robert H. & Hannah Mann Remainder is illegible

Arch & Obelisks with roses Roses may indicate the brevity of earthly existence. The stems of the roses on the obelisks appear to be broken indicating premature death.
