2. Heathcote Home

Located on Adelaide Avenue in the Miller Park area of Franklin, this 1901 home was built by W.E. and Josephine Sibley Heathcote. The Neoclassical / Colonial Revival style has a symmetrical facade, full height entry portico with Ionic columns. Note the rounded 2nd story central balcony. W.E. Heathcote was the Second Vice-President of Galena-Signal Oil Co. Josephine was the daughter of Joseph Crocker Sibley and the niece of General Charles Miller, founders of Galena-Signal Oil Company.
