MEMORANDA OF SCHOOLS TAUGHT BY JACOB NORCROSS
IN A LOG CABIN ON THE WENTWORTH FARM,
OPPOSITE CUSTALOGA'S TOWN
(NOW C. H. HEYDRICK PLACE - 1879) IN THE FALL OF 1808 OR 1809.
For the following list of pupils and parents,
we are indebted to James M. Daily, of Frenchcreek township, Mercer county,
himself being one of the scholars.

The average attendance per week was twenty-nine. The tuition was sixpence per week for each scholar. The term consisted of four months."
