121st Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers
At one point there was going to be a reorganization of officers within the 121st Regiment. So the men of Company F wrote to the Governor of Pennsylvania to intercede on their behalf. They wanted their Liutenant Nathaniel Lang to be their Captain, none other. The history books show that Lt. Lang was made their Captain on 29 May 1864. The letter is dated 6 March 1864. So the Governor heard the men and acted swiftly!
